CLOSING TIME FILM+BOOK OUT NOW

Closing Time is an enormous project directed by Iñigo Cabo, composed by a book and a film recorded in 3 countries (Spain, France & Ecuador) with more than one hundred artists from all the world participating in, including names like Jose Luis Brea, Iñaki Imaz, Iñaki Garmendia or Asier Mendizabal.
Miguel A. García was called to participate in the soundtrack with a new track called "The cube", used in the film during the short fragment directed by the extraordinary filmmaker Robert Todd. You can listen to the whole track at the soundtrack section of the DVD.

PUTEARTE 1.0 IS NOW ONLINE

PUTEARTE is a new spanish webzine ruled by the catalonian artist Minus, with lots of interesting stuff to dig in like: -recordings of the conferences by Francisco Lopez "The world as an instrument", -an interview with F de Fecal, -a video by Hyo with a soundtrack including trax by Merzbow & Mattin, -a chronicle of the MEM 2006 fest, -a review of the album "Agujero negro" by Xedh (featuring a fully downloadable version)... and many, many more.
Miguel A. García collaborates with a small loop for the "Zona de expresión" board. The theme, "Collapse".

HAMBURGUESA VEGETAL WINNERS OF THE 19th "VILLA DE BILBAO" CONTEST

Absurdist cyber-rock band "Hambuguesa Vegetal" has winned the 19th "Villa de Bilbao" music contest, new tendencies section. The band was selected via some tracks featuring Miguel A. García´s alter ego "Mad Max", just before his fireing as a permanent member ´cos of his radically weird, post-tonal tendencies.

NEW TRACKS AT THE DESETXEA NETLABEL

Desetxea, the netlabel ruled by Mattin with collaborations by lots of artists like Alexei Borisov, Comando Bruno or Tomas Korber, features new tracks including the participation of Miguel A. García:
"Cafe flesh", a collective improvisation by Edorta Izarzugaza, Kakofunk, Tusuri & Xedh made at the UPV sound studio, &
"Segunda masa lunar inerte", a recovered track from the old Valvula Antirretorno sessions featuring Sergio Remacha at his fittest form.

XEDH & TETA FX LIVE AT THE "ORGANUK" EXHIBITION

"Las babas", the new group composed by Itziar Markiegi aka "Teta FX" & Miguel A. García aka "Xedh", will perform live this friday at the "ORGANUK" exhibition by the visual artists Ilaitz Alberdi & Elorza Joseba Agirrezabalaga.
Enrike Hurtado "Bazterrak" will be joined as a special guest.

"LABirINTO", NEW EXHIBITION AT L´MONO

"LABirINTO" is the title of a project of L´Mono, a "multi-spacial environment that mixes painting, performance, sound art, video and other artistic disciplines" featuring local artists like Aitor Arakistain, Aitziber Akerreta, Itziar Markiegi, Aitzol Basaldua, June Crespo and more.
Miguel A. García was called to make a sound installation, a multi-channel collage remixing works by many classic and local sound artists including Eliane Radigue, Kakofunk, Baba Llaga and even Salvador Dali.
